Gems Of Aspen

Gem of Aspen's leaves are made from hand picked Aspen leaves from the Founder of Gems of Aspen, Cindi Davis', personal yard in Aspen, CO. Each leaf is soaked in a special solution that dissolves the fleshy parts of the leaf leaving the veins and skeleton intact. The surface is then hand painted with a copper coating that protects/strengthens the lace patterns. We then electroplate Copper oxide, Sterling Silver or 24 Karat Gold onto the leaf. The result is a beautiful “Gems of  Aspen” leaf.
